Content Standards

What you can post, how we talk to each other, and how enforcement works.

Last updated July 23, 2026

ArtAttack is a place to make things and get better at making things. It's also a place where teenagers and adults share space, which means the rules are stricter than they'd be on a server for one or the other.

These apply everywhere: the website, the Discord, DMs between members, voice chat, usernames, avatars, and profiles.

Moderators

Moderators are determined through a rigorous process and monitored by the site owners. Super Admins must prove identity via physical means (drivers license, email, phone number) and regular admins must prove identity via email and phone number.ArtAtttack never allows teens under 18 to moderate. The moderation team is not selected by who can handle the server when things are running smoothly and as they should, it's selected by who can appropriately handle the situations that are OUTSIDE the rules and correct code of conduct. All moderative staff are of an appropriate age to handle all situations. The site founder has limited admin abilities until she is of age but is included as a “Moderator.”

The hard lines

These get you removed immediately. No warning, no appeal, and we report to Discord Trust and Safety, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, or law enforcement where it applies.

  • Any sexual content involving minors. Drawn, written, AI-generated, photographic, "aged up," "it's just a character," any of it. There is no version of this that's fine here.
  • Adults pursuing romantic or sexual contact with anyone under 18. Including flirting, asking for photos, moving a minor to another platform, or pushing for private contact. If you're an adult and you find yourself building a private relationship with a teenager on this server, leave.
  • Grooming behavior. Isolating a younger member, pushing secrecy, testing limits, gifts in exchange for access.
  • Threats of violence against a person, group, or place.
  • Doxxing. Posting someone's real name, address, school, workplace, phone, or photos of them without consent.
  • Encouraging suicide or self-harm. Telling someone to hurt themselves, or sharing methods.
  • Malware, phishing, account theft, or scams.
  • Ban evasion with a new account.

If you see any of this, don't argue with the person. Report it and tell an admin.

No sexual content, at all

This isn't an age-gated server, because splitting a 3,000-person mixed-age community into safe and unsafe halves doesn't actually work. So there's one standard for everyone.

Not allowed:

  • Nudity and sexual content, including suggestive posing and framing
  • Fetish content, whether or not anything is exposed
  • Detailed self-harm imagery
  • Shock content

Allowed, with judgment:

  • Anatomy studies and figure drawing, tasteful, spoilered, and in [CHANNEL] only
  • Stylized action violence, blood in a fight scene, horror creature design
  • Dark themes handled seriously in art or writing
  • Gore is allowed as long as it is tagged correctly and spoiled

"It's an anatomy study" is not a defense for something that isn't one. If you're arguing with a moderator about whether it counts, it doesn't.

If you want to make mature work, that's your right as an artist. Do it somewhere else and don't link it here.

Art rules

Post your own work. Reposting someone else's art as yours is the fastest way to lose your standing in this community. Tracing without saying so counts. Heavy reference use is fine if you credit the reference.

Redraws, studies, and fan art are welcome. Say what they are. Credit the original artist or the source character.

Collaborations need everyone credited.

AI-generated images are of zero tolerance, any users found to be posting AI generated works will be immediately removed from both the server and the site.

Don't take someone's art off this server and repost it elsewhere without asking. Screenshotting art to mock it is harassment.

How we talk to each other

Critique is one of the reasons this place exists. It only works if it's honest and it isn't cruel.

  • Only give critique when someone asked for it. Use the [tag or channel] system.
  • Critique the work, not the person
  • "This is bad" isn't critique. Say what's not working and why.
  • If you asked for critique, you don't get to fight the person who gave it

Not allowed: harassment, witchhunts, pile-ons, slurs, hate targeting race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, or sexuality, sexual comments about other members, venting, and dragging drama in from other servers.

DMs and private contact

Moderators cannot see DMs. This is where almost everything bad happens.

  • Adults: don't DM minors privately. If you need to talk to a younger member, keep it in a channel.
  • Minors: nobody here needs your Snapchat, phone number, school, or face. An adult who asks is showing you exactly who they are.
  • Never send images of yourself to anyone here
  • Screenshot anything that feels off, then report it. Blocking alone means we never find out.

Reports about DMs go to admins.

Money

Commissions, trades, tips, and collaborations that involve money are entirely between you and the other person. ArtAttack takes no part and can't recover anything for you.

Not allowed on the platform: begging, crypto or NFT promotion, MLM recruiting, referral link spam, and advertising other Discord servers without permission.

Minors: don't accept commission work without a parent involved.

How enforcement works

Most problems get handled at the bottom of this ladder.

  1. Quiet word. A moderator asks you to knock it off.
  2. Content removed, with a note about why.
  3. Timeout. Usually 1 to 24 hours. A cooldown, not a punishment.
  4. Suspension. Days to weeks, for repeat behavior.
  5. Ban. For serious violations or an established pattern.

Every action gets logged. Moderators don't act on their own friends, their own arguments, or anything involving themselves. They hand it to someone else.

The hard lines at the top of this document skip the ladder entirely.

Reporting

Report through [REPORT METHOD]. Include screenshots, links, and usernames. Reports are private. The person you report doesn't find out who reported them.

Anything involving a minor gets handled by two people, one of them an adult admin.

Filing false reports to get someone punished is itself a violation. Punishment rules will be posted in Discord.

Appeals

If you were suspended or banned and you think it was wrong, email piko@artattack.art within 30 days. Say what happened and what you'd do differently. An admin who wasn't involved reviews it.

Arguing in public channels, mass-DMing moderators, or coming back on an alt ends the appeal.

Hard-line violations aren't appealable.

Off-platform behavior

We generally don't police what you do elsewhere. The exception is when off-platform conduct is a credible safety risk to people here, like harassing a member on another site or evidence that an adult is targeting minors. Then we act, and we don't owe you a debate about jurisdiction.

Changes

These standards will change as the community grows and as we hit situations we didn't anticipate. Updates get announced in [ANNOUNCEMENTS CHANNEL].
